Project Life 2012 | Week 3

So here we are at week three already! Are you getting  into a groove with Project Life? I think I have. It's coming together quicker for me. I didn't have as many photos to choose from for last week. My husband was gone for most of it and we just didn't do as much with it being extremely cold out too.

I found I really liked using a basic black background last week so I kept it here as well. My husband didn't take any pictures on his trip but I was able to pull some photos off the internet to fill in. 

Again I'm keeping things clean and simple with just the elements in the kit.

Project Life 2012 | Week 2

This week's layout came together a little quicker than last week's did. I'm remembering some of the things I learned in Jessica Sprauge's classes and picking up a few new tips along the way.

This week I tried out using a black background. I like how it helps keep  from looking too busy. Here is a close up of the left side.

The kids think it's fun to make faces when I'm taking pictures!

Wonderful Wednesday Card Challenge 1.18

It's Wonderful Wednesday again at Scrap Freak! This week's challenge is to use Embossing. On this card I used Versamark ink and clear embossing powder to get the tone on tone effect.

Embossing folders are another great way to emboss. This time I inked the Cuttlebug embossing folder before running it through my Big Shot.
